Pathaan joins the RRR and KGF-2 List!

Following Shahrukh’s 2013 hit movie Chennai Express, his subsequent films didn’t perform as well critically and at the box office. But Pathaan defied expectations, impressing audiences worldwide and bringing in over 500 crores nett in India and 1000 crores gross internationally. Through its unprecedented success, Pathaan revolutionised the definition of box office success.

Pathaan has achieved a remarkable feat by staying in theatre for 100 days since the post-pandemic era began. This puts the action spectacular among an elite list of films, including Kantara, RRR, KGF Chapter 2 and others that have made it to theatres for at least 100 days. Pathaan is now the fourth Indian film to reach this milestone.

King Khan’s film reaching 100 Days has been well-received and is making great progress. But his past success cannot be forgotten; DDLJ has screened for 27 years in Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir theatre, an unprecedented accomplishment in the film industry. Nonetheless, we acknowledge that things have changed since the COVID-19 pandemic, so it is duly appreciated.
