Karthik Varma Dandu’s name may not immediately ring bells in Tollywood. However, he is the director of popular film Virupaksha which became a sleeper hit. The film earned about Rs 43 crore world-wide share.
Naturally, Virupaksha director Karthik Varma is in the limelight. As per the buzz in tinsel town, an upcoming producer has paid a token advance to Karthik before Virupaksha’s release. Now, the producer is planning to do his next film with Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Thus, Virupaksha director bagged the jackpot. The talks are in very early stages. If all goes well, Karthik is soon going to direct Chiru.
Chiranjeevi is open to collaborate with young directors of late. Chiru has also a project lined-up with Bimbisara director Vasishta Mallidi. UV Creations is going to bankroll this high-budget film with Chiru and Vasishta. After this, Chiru may team up with Karthik. Looks like, Chiru is after young directors. More details to follow.
