Varun Tej Signs A Period Film

Varun Tej, who never shies away from doing experiments or testing various genres, is all set for a big surprise. Varun has signed a period film which is touted to be made on a high-budget. Recently, director Karuna Kumar, of Palasa fame, has narrated a gripping story to Varun and the F2 star is quite impressed with it. Varun is said to have given his nod in principle for the film.

The period film is going to be bankrolled by CV Mohan who is making Nani 30 under his home production Vyra Entertainments. A formal announcement would be made soon. Also, the film’s pre-production works have begun.

Once the ensemble cast and crew are finalised, the film’s shoot will commence. Varun isn’t new for the period genre. He has done films like Kanche, Gaddalakonda Ganesh. But the film with Palasa Karuna Kumar is said to be totally different and never done before, said the source in the know.

Currently, Varun is working with Praveen Sattaru for Gandeevadhari Arjuna. The shooting of the film is progressing in the foreign. After the schedule is done, Varun returns to Hyderabad. There is also some personal news about Varun and Lavanya Tripathi’s wedding doing the rounds in the media. We have to wait for the official announcement on it as well.
