Mem Famous is the second movie from Chai Bisket Films and Lahari Films, after the success of Writer Padmabhushan. This youthful musical entertainer starring Sumanth Prabhas and was directed by the actor himself will be arriving in cinemas on May 26th.
Producers Anurag Reddy, Sharath Chandra and Chandru Manoharan interacted with the media today. “Under A+S Movies and Chai Bisket Films, we have already produced ‘Major’ with Adivi Sesh. In a couple of months, we will announce a big star film under A+S Movies.
Under Chai Bisket Films, we mostly produce films with newcomers. Our aim is to make films that will appeal to both youth and families. Thus, it will be a suitable platform for talented youngsters to launch themselves under our banner. We believe in trying new things with new people. Because that’s how we came in the first place. When working with someone new, the vibe is completely new,” say the producers.
It’s the maiden directorial venture for Sumanth Prabhas. “We selected Sumanth Prabhas after watching his short films on YouTube. We could see a spark in him. He told us that he wanted to make a feature film of the story he had written. He had to direct this film. Although we didn’t initially have the belief in Sumanth, we trusted in his ability for the way he narrated the story.”
The producers further inform, Mem Famous is the story of a beautiful journey between three friends. They clarify, the movie will enthuse family audiences, other than the youth.
