With a career over several decades, Sarath Babu showcased his acting prowess in more than 220 films across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages. Born on July 31, 1951, in the Amudalavalasa area of Andhra Pradesh, Sarath Babu originally went by the name Satyam Babu Deekshith before adopting his screen name.

Making his debut in the film industry with “Rama Rajyam” in 1973, Sarath Babu quickly rose to prominence with notable performances in Singeetham Srinivas’s films “Panthulamma” and “America Ammayi,” as well as K. Balachander’s directorial “Chilakamma Cheppindi.” His talent and dedication to his craft earned him recognition and accolades, including three Best Supporting Actor Nandi Awards for his roles in “Seethakoka Chilaka” (1981), “O Bharya Katha” (1988), and “Neerajanam” (1989). He also received the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 2017 film “Malayan.”

Sarath Babu’s personal life also drew attention as he married actress Rama Prabha in 1974. Their marriage, which lasted 14 years, ended in divorce in 1988. He later married Sneha Nambiar in 1990 but divorced in 2011.

Recently, Sarath Babu was seen in the Tamil film “Vasantha Mullai.” He had a significant role in Sr Naresh’s upcoming film “Malli Pelli,” where he portrayed the character of Superstar Krishna. The film, scheduled for release this Friday, will now be a tribute to the veteran actor.

Sarath Babu’s demise leaves a void in the film industry, and his contributions to cinema will be remembered by his fans and colleagues alike. The loss of this talented actor is deeply felt, and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire future generations of actors.
