How Sumanth Reddy Turned Sumanth Prabhas

Mem Famous, a charming village drama directed by Sumanth Prabhas, is generating much buzz and anticipation ahead of its worldwide release on May 26. The film’s promotional videos and trailer have received positive attention, adding to its release’s excitement.

In a recent interview, Sumanth Prabhas, who not only directed the film but also played the lead role, revealed the reason behind having Prabhas in his name. Sumanth, born as Sumanth Reddy, is a huge fan of Prabhas. To show admiration for his favorite hero, the young filmmaker added the actor’s name to his original name.

Speaking about the main theme of Mem Famous, Sumanth emphasized that today’s youth possess immense energy but often lack proper direction. The film, according to him, aims to convey the message that with encouragement and guidance, there are no limits to what the youth can achieve.

Apart from Sumanth Prabhas, the film also introduces around 50 young actors and technicians to the Telugu film industry. Produced by Anurag Reddy and Sharath Chandra in association with Chandru Manoharan of Lahari Films, Mem Famous features Mani Aegurla, Mourya Chowdary, Saarya, and Siri Raasi in significant roles.
