Will Blood Put This Director Back On Track?

When he made his debut film ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’, the film industry thought that an amalgamation of Sekhar Kammula and a commercial touch like Krishna Vamsi could be seen in him. Later when he carved ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, a multi-starrer in its own right, many hailed him for his humble effort. But all that craze got poured into ashes when churned out ‘Brahmotsavam’.

One of the biggest trolled movies ever in Tollywood, Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam almost ended the career of director Srikanth Addala. The rude shock given by the film, and the film’s content, has left the director jobless for years until Suresh Babu offered him to remake Danush’s Asuran as “Narappa” with Venkatesh in the lead. While the film made some name on OTT, many are still wondering if Addala could bounce back, and other day he surprised everyone with a poster.

Looks like Addala changed the route from making Godavari-centric family films to doing an action movie with loads of bloodshed if the hand-poster that was released other day is anything to go by. Many are first wondering which hero might have given him the dates provided with the fact that the Brahmotsavam shocker is still fresh in the minds of people.

Anyway, there are lots of times when filmmakers re-invented themselves by picking up content that is out of their comfort zone, and we have to see if Addala could do that magic now.
