Chay & Chandoo – An Interesting Back Story

From a couple of days, it is coming out that director Chandoo Mondeti of “Karthikeya 2” fame is actually gearing up to direct Naga Chaitanya in his next for Geetha Arts. However, after the super success of that film, Chandoo has other interesting options on his table, but then, there is a story as to why he might do this film. 

According to the grapevine, Geetha Arts already got a story developed for Naga Chaitanya whose production cost might touch nearly ₹60 crores. As only an experienced director can handle the project well, it is being heard that Naga Chaitanya insisted Chandoo Mondeti’s name and he don’t want fresher on the job. However, already Chandoo fixed his next project for Geetha Arts with Tamil superstar Surya as the lead. As Geetha Arts are the producer of that film as well, Allu Arvind is said to have asked Chandoo to direct Chay’s film too. 

Right now with Chay suggesting some changes in the second half, the script work is taking some time. Once the script gets wrapped up, 90% chances are that the film will be directed by Chandoo, but if he gets busy, then an new director will handle the film under Chandoo Mondeti directorial supervision.

All said and done, Chandoo is getting applauded for upholding the commitment he has given to Geetha Arts long back. After Karthikeya 2, many big banners are running after this filmmaker, but he has stuck to Allu Arvind only and will be doing a couple of projects for this production house.
