Rajamouli Took ₹400 Cr Loan? Is It A Joke?

Few comments made by folks who have little influence in the film industry always lead to huge debates. And other day, one such comment is made by a Tamil media person who has spoken about legendary director SS Rajamouli’s ₹400 crores loan, thus stunning even Telugu fans. Many are wondering what is this fuss all about.

When people are sharing thoughts on big budget films and how the likes of Maniratnam have invested a lot themselves for the sake of bringing out big cinema, this particular person from Kollywood stated that even Rajamouli took a loan of ₹400 crores at a 24% interest rate for a period of 5 years, in order to bring out Baahubali. While the first part of Baahubali was funded by a loan from Ramoji Rao, the second part was solely pulled off by the original producers Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni alone, and many wonder why would Rajamouli take loan for the film, when he is only the director of the project.

After one achieves super success, usually people attribute everything to them, and it looks like the success of “RRR” is making these intelligent folks churn out their own stories regarding Rajamouli’s involvement in the finances. Otherwise, these are lame jokes, as the likes of Shobhu and Danayya are the ones who invested hugely in movies like Baahubali and RRR respectively.
