The most awaited action-packed trailer of ‘Adipurush’ was out other day and definitely fans got a huge relief after looking at the action sequences that were designed almost to a Hollywood level. Though VFX is a little weak, definitely it’s not absurd and that brings us to the discussion of why this Prabhas starrer might hit it mightily at the box office.
Definitely, the story of Ramayana is known to every single Indian by their birth and what excites them is the way a filmmaker narrates it. Going by trailer, the scene where Ravanasura abducts Sita by appearing as a beggar who comes in for alms is terrific. The way the tree roots tie her up and lift her into the air showcases us what Om Raut imagined Ramayana for the new-age audience is like. The whole stunt sequences, though laced with some simple quality Computer Graphics, is breathtaking for the way they are visualized. And if we could imagine the whole war sequence, the feelers are like watching a Hollywood film mixed with Chinese and Korean warfare, and that onscreen experience is going to be mind-blowing.
All these days there are doubts if Adipurush will work or not, but the commercial factor shown in the trailer is something that would work big time at the boxoffice, reassuring the fact that the film might click well. Also with Lord Rama being the favourite of crores of Indians, surely the film commands an undivded attention, thus giving hope to exhibitors and distributors that the film might touch the mighty ₹1000 crores mark easily.
Directed by Om Raut, and featuring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan as Rama, Sita and Ravana, Adipurush is hitting the marquee on June 16th.
