Prabhas starrer Adipurush is gearing up for a release next week and the makers have applied for the Censor today. As there is a lot of buzz going on regarding the runtime of the movie, and the certificate that it might get, here goes the final update.
Apparently, the runtime of Adipurush is locked at 179 minutes, which is nothing but 2 hours 59 minutes, roughly 3 hours. That is a huge runtime these days as films are getting slickly cut for 2 hours and 10 minutes more in the present times. However, provided with the fact that this is an epic story based on Ramayana and huge war sequences taking centre stage, the 3 hours runtime will be surely enjoyable if the screenplay doesn’t fall flat.
At the same time, the film was given a Clean-U certificate, without any cuts, and that will be allowing families with their kids to storm into theatres. Also, there is a talk that states like Uttar Pradesh where Ram Janmbhoomi is present might give a special tax concession as well for the movie, if the reports are anything to go by.
