Why This Producer Bought Adipurush & Spirit?

Ever since the producers of Superstar Prabhas’ upcoming film “Raja Deluxe”, Peoples Media Factory, bought the rights of Adipurush, there is a widespread buzz that the star hero asked them to buy those rights. Some even commented that they want to please the hero, and hence acquired Telugu states theatrical rights to the upcoming film. So, what’s the truth?

Producer TG Viswa Prasad stated that they acquired Adipurush rights only because the film already got a great buzz and felt that buying the rights would ensure them good profits. “T-Series is going to sell the film in every market, so we decided to purchase Telugu rights. Prabhas hasn’t influenced or insisted to buy, but it is my idea to buy Adipurush’s rights. Later we conveyed the same to him and after a few consultations, we’ve closed the deal” he further said.

He also stated that they have even acquired the rights to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit movie as well from T-Series as they have signed a deal with the Bollywood maker to acquire Telugu rights to various films the former produces. But then Viswa Prasad says that these two movies are acquired only after studying market dynamics but not just based on Prabhas’ fame alone.

With this revelation, it is clear that People’s Media bought the rights of Prabhas’ films only for the sake of the market, but not upon the hero’s insistence.
