Can Payal Rajput Score Much-needed Success With Him?

RX100 is one of the ‘boldest’ hits in the history of Telugu cinema. It was made by newcomers and featured newcomers in the lead roles. Though there was no star power, the film went on to become a blockbuster at the box office. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, this romantic thriller featured Karthikeya and Payal Rajput in the lead roles.

After RX100’s success, everyone thought that Ajay, Karthikeya and Payal will be the next big things in Tollywood. But luck didn’t go in their way. Ajay took more than three years to come up with his second film, Maha Samudram. It ended up as a disaster.

Karthikeya is coming with multiple films but is yet to score a blockbuster like RX100. The same is the case with Payal Rajput.

Meanwhile, Ajay and Payal reunited for a new film titled Mangalavaram. Touted to be a thriller, this film wrapped its shoot recently. The team worked relentlessly for 99 days for the shoot. The shoot wrap was announced with a special video.

Mangalavaram is produced by Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma M. Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame is composing the music. We have to see if Payal and Ajay can recreate the magic of RX 100 and come back to the success track with this movie.
