With none other than legendary hero Kamal Haasan onboarded to play a key role in “Project K”, surely the film has got a new colour, range and talk. Other day, the likes of Prabhas, director Nag Ashwin and other co-stars as well as production houses welcomed Kamal big time into the film. And that made another interesting topic to trend, is this film the most expensive Indian movie ever made?

So far we have the likes of Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan which are made with ₹400 crores budget and thus easily become the most expensive Indian film ever made. However, fans are now claiming that Project K will be the crowning champion of the expensive films provided with the kind of casting it has.

They say that Prabhas is charging nearly ₹150 crores for the film, while Kamal Haasan is taking home ₹20 cr, Deepika Padukone pocketing ₹15 cr and the likes of Amitabh Bachchan as well as Disha Patani and others clocking nearly ₹20 crores together.

In that case, the remunerations alone of the film will account to ₹200 crores, while the cost of production is rumoured to be around ₹400 crores including set designs, shoot expenditure and the mighty VFX budget. On that note, Project K is being labelled as a ₹600 crores film now.

These economics are too good to talk about, but that also puts us into a scare that the film should do really well at the box office. Recently we have seen how a mega-budgeted film Adipurush which was made with ₹400+ crores budget got tumbled after the first weekend.

For now, most of Prabhas fans are elated that irrespective of the results of his last three films including Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, producers are still betting high stakes on the actor.
