Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the buddy comedy film “Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi” starring Vishwak Sen and directed by Tharun Bhascker, has been re-released on over 200 screens across the twin Telugu states. The film, which had gained a cult following among young audiences, was met with sensational openings on its special day.
Back in 2018, “Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi” collected around Rs 20 lakhs on its first day (morning show collections). However, its re-release has exceeded all expectations, amassing a staggering Rs 80 lakhs on the opening day (morning show collections). However, the final gross of the first day is over 1.8 Cr rupees.
The overwhelming response from the audience has prompted the makers to extend the special shows until July 2nd, giving fans more opportunities to relive the comedy extravaganza.
On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan’s Toli Prema also had a re-release in theatres. Karunakaran directed the movie. The vintage romantic drama was initially not given special attention by its fans of Pawan. As soon as the talk came out that the remastered version came out, people immediately thronged to theatres to watch the classic on the big screen.
With both the old films having a dream run at the theatres, there is a slight impact on the collections of the new films Samajavaragamana and SPY at the theatres.
