#MegaMovieFest: Young Mega Heroes Should Prove

Like it is being said many times already, movie lovers are going to see four movies back to back from the mega family’s heroes starting from the last week of July. In a month, four movies are hitting the cinemas including Pawan Kalyan & Sai Dharam Tej’s BRO (July 28th), Megastar Chiru’s Bholaa Shankar (Aug 11th), Vyshnav Tej’s Aadikeshava (Aug 18th), Varun Tej’s Gandheevadhari Arjuna (Aug 25th). But here is what this does to the mega heroes in the first place.

Irrespective of the talk or the way the first two films get promoted, both BRO and Bholaa Shankar will get huge openings, because Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi are someone who could command a staggering ₹40-50 crores weekend, owing to their star power. As Sai Dharam also proved with Virupaksha recently, these two films are likely to get a terrific start, and if the content is engaging, then the sky is the limit for them. With both being remakes and having proven their mettle in other tinsel towns already, there is a minimum guarantee over these movies.

However, that is not the case with Vyshnav Tej and Varun Tej. While Uppena is a solid debut for Vyshnav Tej, it is followed by duds like Konda Polam and Ranga Ranga Vaibhvamga. Neither the hero carved a name for his acting chops, nor did those films got talked about for the content. That puts him in a tight spot now as Aadikeshava looks like another commercial potboiler.

Coming to Varun Tej, he doesn’t have a solid hit film in hand after Fidaa and Tholiprema, though he has come up with movies like F3 and Ghani. This time, he has picked up the risky spy genre, which has already seen flops like Agent and Spy in recent times, and that pushes Gandheevadhari Arjuna into this delicate situation.

We have to see how these two young mega heroes are going to prove their mettle along with their family’s proven seniors.
