After the underwhelming response to their previous collaboration, “Liger,” Puri Jagannath and Vijay Deverakonda had plans to work together on a film. However, due to the disappointing performance of “Liger” at the box office, the project didn’t materialize. Puri Jagannath faced a lot of criticism and remained silent, refraining from speaking to the media for several months. Finally, the director is now back on track.
There were many rumors surrounding Puri’s next movie, but now he is ready to bounce back with his first step towards recovery, “Double iSmart.”
The dynamic duo of Ram and Puri Jagannath, who previously delivered the smashing hit “iSmart Shankar,” have officially announced their second collaboration, “Double iSmart.” The film is a sequel to their earlier success.
The movie’s opening ceremony took place today. Charmme clapped the first shot, directed by Puri himself, while Ram expressed his excitement by saying, “iSmart Shankar alias Double iSmart” before firing a gun for the muhurtham shot. The regular shoot of the movie is set to commence on July 12th.
This collaboration between Ram and Puri Jagannath is expected to bring double the entertainment and revive the spirits of both the filmmaker and the audience. The fans are also hoping that Puri will bounce back with a blockbuster.
The movie is set to be released on March 8th and will be produced by Puri and Charmme under the banner of Puri Connects.
