Boomerang: Samantha Trolled Then, Gets Trolled Now!

Kushi is one of the upcoming films in Telugu, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha in the lead roles. “Aaradhya” is the second single from the film that was released yesterday. A wide section of audiences liked the song, but a section of netizens started trolling Samantha based on an old statement she made, which they believe she has now forgotten.

The netizens expressed their anger towards Samantha due to a particular still from the lyrical video, where Vijay Deverakonda is seen placing his leg on Samantha’s shoulder. This has reminded netizens of an old tweet from Samantha that caused controversy.

In 2014, during the promotional phase of Mahesh Babu’s film Nenokkadine, a poster featuring Mahesh and actress Kriti Sanon received criticism. Samantha indirectly expressed her opinion on the poster, stating that it looked regressive as the heroine placed her hand around the hero’s feet.

Now, with the still from the “Aradhya” song in Kushi, Samantha is once again being targeted by trolls, as netizens claim that the poster is regressive, and they question why she agreed to be a part of it.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana and featuring music composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, Kushi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film is scheduled for a multi-lingual release on September 1.
