Another Tamil Actor’s Singing Debut In Telugu

Actors turning singers is not a new trend in the South Cinema. The actors regularly croon songs in their movies and very rarely, do they sing for other films and in a few instances, an actor sings for another actor’s film. It happens mostly in Tamil cinema. At the same time, Tamil actors also sing in Telugu cinema. The latest to join the list is actor Vishal.

Earlier, Simbhu crooned songs for Manchu Manoj, NTR, and other actors in Telugu. Dhanush usually sings for his dubbed Telugu movies and in recent times, he also crooned a song for Naveen Polishetty’s Miss Shetty, Mr Polishetty. Interestingly, Vishal who crooned Tamil songs earlier marked his debut in Telugu now with the upcoming gangster drama “Mark Anthony.”

The energetic mass number is composed by star music director GV Prakash Kumar, and Vishal can be seen in the video doing a solid job as a singer. Despite being a Telugu actor, Vishal has made Chennai and the Tamil film industry his permanent base. Ramajogaiah Sastry penned the lyrics of the song.

“Mark Anthony” also stars actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah in a lead role, with Ritu Varma as the female lead. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Vinod Kumar of Mini Studios, the film is slated for a theatrical release on September 15.
