Today (July 14), Global star Ram Charan’s iconic blockbuster, Rangasthalam, which was carved by creative genius Sukumar, got released in Japan. After the RRR glory, surely the Japanese boxoffice is looking forward to more of Charan’s stuff on the silver and the advance booking trends are indicating something massive for the movie.
Apparently, Charan’s Rangasthalam featuring Jagapathi Babu in a crucial antagonist role, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a village belle role, is a smashing hit in his career and redefined the way he does films.
In its full run, the film collected ₹215+ crores gross (₹123 cr share) from the global box office with most of the collection coming from Telugu states alone. As per trade analysts, the Japanese box office has shown trends in a way that the advance bookings of Rangasthalam are bigger than the KGF series.
With RRR being the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan with more than ₹100 crores in collection, we have to see how much Rangasthalm could pull off. The sentimental scenes, the hero’s characterisation and the end-twist might work big time for a Japanese audience, while its success will further expand the market of the mega power star globally. Let’s see what happens.
