Nara Rohith & TV5 Murthy’s Film To Counter YCP?

One of the surprising announcements that came in recent times is the return of Nara Rohith to movies, and another thing is how popular journalist Murthy, aka TV5 Murthy, is turning to a filmmaker with this project. Titled ‘Prathinidhi 2’, the film was announced other day. And here’s the catch.

Some political sections are busy saying that Prathinidhi 2 is a politically backed movie that would be helping Telugu Desam Party in the upcoming election.

The major motto of the film is to make people think about some key issues plaguing Andhra Pradesh state, and the protagonist addresses it from a perspective that would be close to TDP’s agenda. If that is true, then surely Prathinidhi 2 is counter to what YSR Congress Party is trying to do with Yvyuham and Yaatra 2.

In February 2024, the film Yaatra 2 will be hitting cinemas and this focuses on the incidents that happened after the death of YS Rajasekhar Reddy in the United Andhra Pradesh.

While we can ignore Ram Gopal Varma’s Yvyuham as the director is making only a laughing stock of himself with the kind of films he is carving out, Yaatra 2 would be a proper political campaign tool for the ruling government.

The talk is that even Prathinidi 2 will also release in 2024, a couple of weeks before Yaatra 2.
