Even before its anticipated start, the Telugu version of the reality show Bigg Boss has found itself embroiled in controversy. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has issued notices to the show’s host, actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, following a petition filed against Bigg Boss, seeking a halt to its television broadcast. Responding to the petition, the AP High Court heard arguments and subsequently served notices to Nagarjuna.
In addition to Nagarjuna, the AP High Court also sent notices to the AP state government and the union government. All three parties have been directed to file counters, and the court has scheduled a hearing for a later date, approximately four weeks from now.
Season seven of Bigg Boss is set to premiere on September 3rd, and the show’s makers have reportedly finalized a list of contestants from the television industry and social media. While some unconfirmed sources have leaked the names of potential contestants on social media, including Rashmi Gautam, Shobha Shetty, Mohana Bhogaraju, Shweta Naidu, Deepika Pilli, Durga Rao Kapool, Saket, and Surekha Vani.
