The festive season offers an excellent opportunity for filmmakers to release their big-ticket movies at the box office. Traditionally, Sankranthi season has been more favored for multiple big releases, but that doesn’t mean Dasara is any less important for filmmakers and moviegoers. But, it is true that the Dasara season is not known for accommodating multiple hit movies as compared to Sankranthi.
This year, the Dasara season seems to be no exception as three notable films, Bhagwanth Kesari, Leo, and Tiger Nageswara Rao, are all set to clash at the box office. Each of these films brings a unique genre and star cast, making the competition even more exciting for movie enthusiasts.
Balakrishna’s ‘Bhagwanth Kesari’ is expected to be a mass action drama that promises a proper commercial cinema experience to Nandamuri fans. Anil Ravipudi is the film’s director.
On the other hand, ‘Leo’ and ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao,’ might cater to different segments of the audience with their respective storylines and genres. While Tiger Nageswara Rao is going to be an action thriller laced with drama, Leo will unfold a new chapter in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe.
There may not be a huge reshuffle this time but we may witness addition of a couple of more small or medium-budgeted flicks.
The festive mood and extended holidays during Dasara make it a lucrative period for film releases. We have to see how this season is going to turn around for Tollywood.
