Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar was released in theaters and it received a very poor response and high criticism. Bholaa Shankar’s trailer was termed ‘cringe’ by many and the director Meher Ramesh tried to justify that it is not. Now that the movie is out in theaters, even the Mega fans are upset about the over-the-top cringed scenes all over.
The songs and fights of Chiranjeevi might be the selling points or the saviors of a movie back in the 90s, but not in today’s times. If Bholaa Shankar came 20 years back, Mani Sharma’s music and Chiru’s dances would have saved the movie.
While contemporary heroes like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan played their age in Jailer and Vikram respectively, the response was extraordinary. Chiru fans after watching Bholaa Shankar started to opine that it might be the right time for Chiru to stop dancing and romancing!
Talking about the dances and romance, social media is suggesting that Chiru should choose a dance master other than Sekhar if he still wants to dance in the upcoming movies. While Bholaa Shankar has a ton of boring and cringing scenes, the ones that his fans and the general audience could not take is definitely the ‘nadumu watching’ scene with Sree Mukhi, a parody of Pawan Kalyan’s Khushi scene.
Ever since Pawan Kalyan’s Khushi came, there were numerous parody scenes on the particular episode and most of them were done by comedians so far. Chiru repeating that now and imitating Pawan Kalyan in other scenes is what irked the Mega fans more.
Already Bholaa Shankar is being trolled a lot and it looks like it might become the most trolled movie of Chiranjeevi after Acharya. When a successful film like Virupaksha was trolled with the ‘Sasanaala Grandham’ dialogue and Bholaa Shankar had a lot of food for trolls.
Well, it is easy to blame Meher Ramesh, but there’s hardly any appealing stuff in the original Vedalam barring Anirudh’s music and Ajith’s performance. Bholaa Shankar is definitely a remake no one asked for!
