Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Jailer” is making a triumphant return commercially. The film has taken the box office by storm, reaffirming his status as the true superstar. The film has reportedly crossed Rs 350 crore worldwide and performs exceptionally well at the box office. Including the Independence Day holiday on August 15 could further boost its collections.
The film became the fastest to cross ₹ 100 Crs+ Gross in Tamilnadu. Released on August 10, “Jailer” has garnered positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The film’s success draws audiences back to theaters.
Monday being a Pre-Holiday day, Jailer registered phenomenal evening and night shows across Karnataka, grossing close to ₹4.85 CR from 810 shows. The 5 Days gross has gone up to ₹36.05 Cr.
In 5 days, the film made a share of over 22.50 Cr (gross of 38.75 Cr) at the box office in the Telugu states.
The film is performing remarkably well in India and enjoying substantial success in the overseas market. At the same time, the film crossed the 140 Cr mark at the overseas box office, say the trade reports.
Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, “Jailer” is a commercial action entertainer that stars Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The movie also features Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, and Vasanth Ravi in significant roles. Sun Pictures produced the film and boasts music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Needless to say that the Superstar’s batting is unstoppable at the box office worldwide.
