69th National Film Awards: Allu Arjun Wins ‘Best Actor’

After a two year hiatus, finally 69th National Film Awards were announced by the Government of India today in a special conference today. Almost 280 films from 28 languages were submitted for the awards in year 2021, with 31 categories in Feature film, 24 in non-feature and 3 in script writing on cinema.

As expected, Telugu hero Allu Arjun grabbed the coveted “Best Actor” trophy for 2021, at the National Film Awards which were announced today. For his phenomenal performance in the movie “Pushpa: The Rise” which was carved by creative genius Sukumar, Allu Arjun got his first-ever National Award. Coming to the heroines, both Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the “Best Actress” trophy, for their stunning performance and makeover in the films, Gangubhai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively. Also, Devi Sri Prasad won ‘Best Music Director’ trophy for Pushpa: The Rise.

Indeed this is a great moment for the Telugu audience and Telugu cinema lovers in general as the film “Pushpa” has not only done exceptionally well at the box office but also created a huge impact when it comes to south content being approved by the Bollywood audience. Even though RRR also bagged many awards, this one won by Allu Arjun is special.
