How ‘Jailer’ Helping ‘Ghost’

After creating a buzz with his cameo appearance in “Jailer,” legendary Kannada actor Dr. Shiva Rajkumar is set to reclaim the spotlight as the protagonist in the upcoming action-crime film “Ghost.” The film’s creators have unveiled that the much-anticipated movie will hit theaters on October 19th. With the new-found craze with Jailer, the film Ghost is expected to perform extremely well at the box office.

Directed by MG Srinivas, “Ghost” has garnered immense attention in the Kannada cinema landscape ever since the release of its motion poster and teaser. Notably, it is also part of the Birbal Trilogy, a cinematic universe conceived by MG Srinivas.

“Ghost” boasts an ensemble cast including Jayaram, Anupam Kher, Archana Jois, and Prashanth Narayanan, creating excitement among fans. Director Srinivas is slated to make a cameo appearance as Mahesh Das, his character from the Birbal Trilogy. Sandesh Nagaraj produces the film under Sandesh Productions and features music composed by Arjun Janya, with cinematography by Mahendra Simha.

Promising to be a cinematic spectacle, “Ghost” is not confined to a single language audience. It aims for a pan-Indian release spanning Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.

Interestingly, “Ghost” is poised to face a notable clash at the box office as it releases on the same day as the highly-anticipated Thalapathy Vijay starrer “Leo.”
