‘Kushi Nothing To Do With Samantha’s Real-Life’

Ever since the trailer of Kushi has been unveiled, there are rumours and speculations that Kushi deals with the real-life incidents of Samantha. Strong buzz is that Kushi has striking similarities with Sam’s personal life as the film revolves around the differences between a married couple who were in love earlier.

“I wrote the story of Kushi three years ago,” states writer-director Shiva Nirvana who also made films like Ninnu Kori and Majili. “I’ve very good bond with her. I worked with her for Majili. I had thought she would be the best actress for the role and she came onboard.” “You will see vintage Samantha in the film. Sam as Aaradhya nailed with her acting,” shared Shiva Nirvana. Shiva said Vijay Deverakonda (Viplav) and Samantha (Aaradhya) are a treat to watch.

Talking about Sam’s Myositis, Shiva Nirvana said, “Initially when she was diagnosed, she had thought it would be cured quickly. She had thought she would overcome it easily and join the shooting in a couple of days. She didn’t know it would take months.” Shiva added Samantha is a very strong woman who would overcome this phase. He said she never discussed her personal life with him on the sets.

Delving deep into the film’s plot, director Shiva said, “Kushi has a fun love story. The post-marriage story gets very interesting. It deals with some sensible issues. The film has strong under-current emotion.”

“Sarada was one of the few titles which we considered for VD and Sam’s Kushi. But to have a title which is the same in all languages, we opted for Kushi. The name means happiness in all the languages,” adds Shiva Nirvana.

“Writing lyrics for all the songs happened while I was having music sitting with the music director Hesham. I have given some lyrics and he composed the tune. The songs were composed in less time due to this. The process we both have enjoyed and the whole team have liked it. I’ve huge respect for all the lyric-writers,” said Shiva.

He thanked producers Mythri Movie Makers who have been a great support throughout. He said the huge success of music has come as a big advantage as the songs reached the people. The film is all set to hit the screens on 1st September in India and 31st August, the film will have the US premieres.
