When BRS MLA disappointed Jagapathi Babu

Jagapathi Babu recently shared his thoughts on his film “Rudrangi” in a recent interview. The movie, featuring Mamata Mohandas as the heroine, was directed by Ajay Samrat and produced by BRS MLA Rasamayi Balakishan. While “Rudrangi” hit theaters on July 7, it faced disappointment at the box office.

During the interview, Jagapathi Babu expressed his deep disappointment with the film’s outcome. He explained that he had liked the story of “Rudrangi” and even reduced his remuneration to be a part of the project. However, he voiced his concerns about the film’s lack of proper promotion and noted that the producer, who is an MLA, did not appear to have a strong desire to make the movie successful.

Jagapathi Babu further elaborated on the challenges faced by the film, stating, “The film was made with a budget of eight crores. I did the film even though it was not in my usual range. I also suggested releasing the film on an OTT platform, but the producer did not consider any of these options.”

He went on to express his belief that the movie deserved better promotion and handling. Despite the film’s outcome, Jagapathi Babu shared that he believed “Rudrangi” was the best movie of his career. The film also featured Vimala Raman, Ashish Gandhi, and Navina Reddy in prominent roles.
