Chandramukhi was a sensational hit back then and it set the trend for modern thrillers. Many movies followed the idea but only a few could enthrall the audience. After many years, the same director came up with the sequel of the movie bringing Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut on board.

Amid this, Chandramukhi 2 could not get a great impression from the viewers with the trailer and songs. A huge wave of trolls and memes came up on social media about the trailer. And today, during the promotions, the lead actors revealed the actual twist of the movie.

While the trailer is being criticized that P Vasu remade the original version, Lawrence and Kangana tried to highlight the difference but actually revealed the crucial part. The original had the soul of Chandramulhi enter Jyothika and it was all about how she avenged the king. Apart from the picture in the painting, the real Chandramkhi was never shown as a person.

In Chandramukhi 2, Kangana Ranaut will be appearing as the real Chandramukhi and the story is what happens when she enters the bungalow. Though Lawrence is playing the role Rajinikanth did, there were no leaks about it.

For now, Chandramukhi 2 is not having a great buzz with just five days before release. It has to be seen how it manages to pull the audience to the theaters with other films Skanda, and Pedda Kapu 1 as the competitors.
