Ram Pothineni’s mass and action entertainer Skanda directed by Boyapati Sreenu is off to a strong opening on its first day at the box office in Telugu states despite of mixed reviews. The movie collected record numbers, particularly in the mass centres.
Skanda earned Rs 8.62 Cr in AP and TS and became the highest day-one grosser for Ram. While the movie collected 3.23 Cr in Nizam, it minted 1.22 Cr in Ceded, and 4.17 in Andhra region.
In the absence of another biggie at the box office, Skanda is likely to have a successful run at least in its first week. As is known, the movie already recovered its investment through non-theatrical deals alone.
Here is the break-up list:
Nizam – 3.23
Ceded -1.22
Vizag – 1.19
East-0.59
West- 0.41
Krishna – 0.45
Guntur -1.04
Nellore – 0.49
Total- 8.62
