MAD: One film, Many hopes

The upcoming release, “MAD,” directed by Kalyan Shankar, generates buzz as a youthful and fun film centered around college students. The movie features a main cast that includes Narne Nithin, Ram Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, Sri Gouri Priya Reddy, and Ananathika Sanilkumar. The film will be a test for many people associated with it, and if it becomes a hit, it can open room for more campus dramas to emerge at the box office in Tollywood.

First and foremost, the film is presented by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, who is highly confident that it will resonate strongly with the audience. He is already busy with multiple projects under Haarika & Hasinee Creations and Sithara Entertainments. Despite that, he floated a new production house. Haarika Suryadevara is venturing into the production with this film, and the debut success is crucial for the Suryadevara family.

Recently launched by Jr NTR, the trailer of the film caught the attention of many in the industry. NTR’s brother-in-law, Narne Nithiin, plays one of the film’s lead roles, and this will be a big test for the young hero. NTR is not giving any additional push to Narne Nithiin, but this is a crucial film for him. At the same time, Sangeeth Sobhan, brother of Santosh Sobhan, will also test his luck. Sangeeth was earlier seen in a web series, but this is his first big mainstream film where he plays a crucial role. The film is a must-win for him too. All the other actors who played different characters in the film have big hopes in the film’s success.

Coming to the direction, Kalyan Shankar is making his debut with the movie. Kalyan Shankar had worked for KV Anudeep’s Jathi Rathnalu as a writer, and some of the hilarious tracks from the film have come from his pen. It could be a reason for Vamsi’s confidence in the film that it would tickle the audience’s bones.

Additionally, Kalyan Shankar is backed by young writers Pranay Rao Takkallapalli and Praveen Pattu, who have provided the additional screenplay for the film. The trio worked on the film’s script for a long time and worked on multiple versions to finally develop a hilarious script that would leave the audience in splits in the theatres.

The key factors for success include relatable language, tone, situations, humor, gags, and dialogues. The writing team believes that everything fell in place, but we have to see how the film performs at the box office. The makers are confidently holding premieres today and if that generates a positive talk, there will be no looking back for the film.
