Post Khaidi and Vikram, the expectations on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next movie LEO have got huge attention and the biggest hype ever. After a long wait, the trailer was released last evening and it received mixed response. There are many reasons why the LEO trailer could not impress all.
First things first, the LEO trailer has no feel or excitement that Lokesh Kanagaraj’s multistarrer usually gives to fans and audiences. With the movie release just in two weeks, the trailer could not reach the hype. The trailer is sure action-packed but there is no thrill factor or surprise in it.
The story revelation by the director in the trailer seems to be a setback because it looked like a regular story of an innocent man being cornered for the acts of another notorious look-alike of him. The villains Arjun Sarja and Sanjay Dutt also could not give the needed kick to the trailer. Surprisingly Anirudh’s background score also did not raise the bar.
Apart from the lack of excitement from the trailer, the last scene where Vijay rolls the gun on his hands is lifted from the Bullet Train movie and anti fans already started trolling it.
Overall, there is no Lokiverse-feel with the LEO trailer due to the lack of high points. It has to be seen if there are any potential surprises hidden by the director in the movie. However, the trailer talk may not impact a Vijay – Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie openings. While fans are asking to ‘Keep Calm and Wait for FDFS’, those who did not like the trailer are calling it ‘Bloody Bitter’.
