Vijay Enters Mighty 100 Cr Club- What Next?

Despite the mixed talk around, Tamil superstar Vijay is showcasing his star power at the box office through Lokesh Kanaganaraj’s LEO movie. On its first day, the movie made ₹148+ crores gross from the box office with all the languages together. However, the mega feat achieved by Vijay is that the film has beaten the likes of Jawan and Pathan as well, and entered a mighty club.

When it comes to the list of movies that made ₹100+ crores ‘gross’ from the worldwide box office with all the languages together, there are only 7 films to date. They happen to be Rajamouli’s RRR (₹220 Cr gross on Day 1), Baahubali 2 (₹ 214 Cr), KGF 2 (₹163 Cr), Adipurush (₹131 Cr), Saaho (₹ 126 Cr), Jawan (₹126 Cr) and Pathaan (₹100+ Cr). And now, by touching the ₹148+ crores gross mark, Leo entered the club and stood in fourth position.

However, even if the opening of a movie is resounding and more than ₹100 crores gross, surely the talk matters and movies like Adipurush and Saaho suffered massively from Day 2. At the same time, even though the first-day collection is just 100-120 Cr for films like Pathaan and Jawan, they have made it huge in their lifetime run at the box office. So where would Leo stand in terms of that lifetime collection is the question now. Will it cross the 500 crores club? Let’s see!
