The much-anticipated film “Thangalaan,” starring actor Vikram and directed by Pa Ranjith, has unveiled its teaser. The 90-second teaser of “Thangalaan” provides a glimpse into what promises to be a captivating story.
The film’s teaser opens with the words, “As myth leads to history, as greed leads to destruction, as blood wars lead to liberty, rises the son of gold.” The film is a period action flick set against the backdrop of the historic Kolar Gold Fields during the British colonial era in India.
The teaser hints at a narrative that revolves around a tribal leader’s struggle to protect their land from those seeking to mine gold. What’s intriguing is that the teaser also suggests the presence of fantasy elements within the storyline.
The cast of “Thangalaan” includes a stellar ensemble of actors, such as Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, and more.
The film is written and directed by Pa Ranjith, produced by K E Gnanavelraja, co-produced by Neha Gnanavelraja, and belongs to Studio Green and Neelam Productions. The music is composed by G V Prakash Kumar, with additional contributions from co-writer Tamil Praba, dialogues by Azhagiya Periyavan, cinematography by A Kishor Kumar, editing by Selva R K, and art direction by S S Murthi.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 26, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
