That led to the actor singing one more Telugu remake, which happens to be Nani’s Jersey. Guess what, Shahid is said to be taking home a bomb for this project if reports are to be beleived. At a time when Shahid is getting ready to remake the film, it has come out that he is taking a whopping 35 crores remuneration, with GST paid additionally.
Not just that, he is also taking another 20% share in the nett profits of the film. Going by the fact that his Kabir Singh, which has made in 60 crores budget and collected 350+ crores at the box office, Shahid will easily get another 40-50 crores from the profits. In Tollywood, the likes of Mahesh and Allu Arjun recently made a whopping 50 crores from their movies, and Shahid taking home nearly 80 cr for a remake movie is something big.
Perhaps that is the reason many Telugu stars now want to become pan-India stars and capture the market for themselves.
