Many Bollywood heroes like Salman Khan and Tiger Shroff have proved it multiple times that remaking Telugu and other south movies is the best bet to score big hits. They create a base story from Telugu version and build it up to a costly-level such that it makes wonders at box office. From Salman’s Wanted to Tiger’s Baaghi series, that’s the story.

Joining in the same leauge, Shahid Kapoor also made it big by accepting to play lead in the remake of Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy. That led to the actor singing one more Telugu remake, which happens to be Nani’s Jersey. Guess what, Shahid is said to be taking home a bomb for this project if reports are to be beleived. At a time when Shahid is getting ready to remake the film, it has come out that he is taking a whopping 35 crores remuneration, with GST paid additionally.

Not just that, he is also taking another 20% share in the nett profits of the film. Going by the fact that his Kabir Singh, which has made in 60 crores budget and collected 350+ crores at the box office, Shahid will easily get another 40-50 crores from the profits. In Tollywood, the likes of Mahesh and Allu Arjun recently made a whopping 50 crores from their movies, and Shahid taking home nearly 80 cr for a remake movie is something big.

Perhaps that is the reason many Telugu stars now want to become pan-India stars and capture the market for themselves.
