Teaser Talk: Lal Salaam, A Religious Sports Conflict In A Village

These days, Superstar Rajnikanth is surprising one and all with his out of the box of choices starting with the film Jailer that presented him in a new avatar. And now, he’s doing a cameo in his daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth’s upcoming film “Lal Salaam” whose teaser was released on Diwali eve. Let’s have a look at it.

Featuring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as the pivotal leads of the movie, the film features them as teammates from two rival cricket teams in a village. And in the due process, the cricket fights turn into a religious fight while Superstar Rajnikanth makes a dynamic entry as a Muslim businessman who asks the village elders how come they poisoned the minds of youths by mixing sports with religion. Well, it looks like Aishwarya Rajnikanth is throwing a direct satire on present-day society through this film.

The casting, production design, camera work, and everything looks top-notch in the Lal Salaam teaser, suiting the narrative of the film, while AR Rahman’s background score is stunning for sure. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film is set to hit cinemas on Sankranthi 2024 eve, while the makers haven’t locked the exact date yet.
