Mask reveal at ‘Mangalavaaram’ event the biggest attraction

Usually, filmmakers desist from revealing their movies’ key twists. The makers of ‘Mangalavaaram’ are confident and that’s why they have revealed a major twist publicly at the film’s success event today. The rustic thriller was released in theatres last Friday (November 17).

‘Gangs Of Godavari’ actor Vishwak Sen was invited to do the honours. As someone who likes the narration style of director Ajay Bhupathi (Sen was offered ‘Maha Samudram’ but couldn’t do it due to dates issues), he loved revealing that the man behind the face mask in the film is none other than Priyadarshi. The ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ actor plays a poignant role in ‘Mangalavaaram’, which has Payal Rajput in the role of a wronged woman.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyadarshi spoke of what the film means to him. “The very name of my character, Malacchamma, conveys a sense of power. I thank my fellow artists for doing so great in the movie. It’s because of them that my performance was elevated in the film. It was great to watch Payal as Shailaja,” Priyadarshi said.

The event, also attended by Ajay Ghosh, Shravan Reddy and others, saw the presence of producer Suresh Varma M of Mudhra Media Works. “My thanks to the audience for giving us this success. This is my and Swathi Reddy’s first movie as producers. We are grateful to all the artists and technicians,” he added.

Tharun Bhascker danced to ‘Appadappada Thaandra’ on the occasion. The playful song has been streaming on YouTube.
