Trailer Talk: Animal, An Over-Loving ‘Criminal’ Son

Known for churning out terrific emotions from his actors and setting up simple scenes that blast up huge on the screen, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ fame, is now back, with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. While everyone is talking about the film’s slow songs, here is the final trailer that was released earlier today.

Featuring Ranbir Kapoor as an over-loving son, who is obsessive about his father and loves him excessively, the trailer is full of emotions. Especially the trailer is centred around how the lead character loves his father (Anil Kapoor) and goes to any extent to protect his father, safeguard his image and beat his enemies. The trailer is full of violence, indicating what is to come inside the movie, while Ranbir’s body language and acting prowess stand out tall. Rashmika Mandanna impresses and Bobby Deol as the main antagonist is the real show stealer in the end, with his eyes speaking a lot.

Technically, the film’s sound design is commendable, while the background score composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar elevated it to another level. However, the Telugu version trailer is a bit tough to catch up with as the dubbing gives us major non-native feels, while the Hindi version is terrific as it sounded more authentic. And we have to see what this animalistic ‘criminal’ does at the box office, as the film is hitting cinemas on December 1st.
