Bollywood actress Payal Gosh is making a lot of noise against director Anurag Kashyap. The actress, who accused director Anurag Kashyap of sexual assault five years ago, met Maharashtra Governor the other day and appealed to him for ‘justice’ in the case. She also requested the Governor to grant her Y-level security claiming threat to her life. Earlier, she met Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale and took his support. He demanded the police to speed up things in the FIR filed by Payal and take action in a week.
Payal, who has been demanding for the arrest of Anurag Kashyap, has also criticised Mumbai police. She alleged that Mumbai Police is not investigating the case in a speedy manner just because Anurag is an ‘influential person’.
In the wake of these, Mumbai police have summoned director Anurag Kashyap. Anurag has been asked to appear before the police. Anurag is going to appear before police at Versova Police station tomorrow at 11 am.
It can be noted that Anurag Kashyap had quashed Payal’s allegations as baseless. Anurag took to Twitter and condemned Payal’s version. He wrote, “It took so long to silence me. It’s okay. In an attempt to silence me, you ended up lying so much that you have dragged other women despite being a woman yourself. Maintain some decorum, madam. I just want to say that whatever your accusations are, they are baseless.” Payal Ghosh has also dragged the names of Richa Chadha, Huma Qureshi and Mahie Gill’s names in the issue.
