Salaar: Prabhas’ Fans Upset With ‘Ugram’ Talk

Breaking many YouTube records, other day Prabhas’ Salaar got the first-ever trailer of the film released. While the trailer has captivated all the attention for its terrific visuals, Prabhas’ screen presence and catchy background score, here is another aspect that has come out, which is now upsetting the fans of the film.

A couple of months ago, music composer Ravi Basrur hinted that “Salaar” would be more like Prashanth Neel’s debut film “Ugram” and many thought that he was talking about a racy screenplay. But now, it could be seen that he has hinted at the plot resemblance between these two movies. In Ugram, the hero is a mechanic and has a violent flashback too, and goes to any extent to help his friend who runs a criminal syndicate. Going by the trailer of Salaar, even Prabhas appears like a mechanic, who goes to any extent to help his friend Prithviraj make it to the top of the criminal world. Except for the visual grandeur of Salaar, the storyline seems to be very close, and that is now worrying Prabhas fans about social media trolling regarding the same.

On the other hand, surely Prashanth Neel would have narrated the same plot because he too knows for a fact that the success of KGF and KGF2 would make every movie lover in India watch his debut film Ugram as well. Why would he remake or adopt his own first film into a big-scale film, hampering his chances at the box office? But then, fans are demanding the makers to come up with a second trailer, that shows the new side of Prabhas in Salaar.
