Unexpectedly, the Congress party will form the government in Telangana. Despite the exit polls making it clear the same, the BRS party did not lose confidence in coming to power. Meanwhile, the end result is entirely shocking for so many. But, the people’s mandate is clear that they wanted Congress to come to power this time. In the middle of this, the silence from the Telugu film industry is being discussed.
Usually, our stars in Telugu cinema, including the top actors, directors, and technicians, always support the government in Telangana. Compared to the government in Andhra Pradesh, Tollywood always favored the government in Telangana. For any initiative the BRS government takes, the Telugu film celebrities turn up on X to extend their support.
Stars like Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Nithiin, Nikhil, and many others always shower praises on the BRS government, especially on the former Telangana CM KCR and the former Telangana IT minister KTR. For the BRS party gaining huge support in Hyderabad city, the tweets from celebrities are also a contributing factor.
However, after the victory of the Congress party, the support from the Telugu cinema looked blink. Except for producer Bandla Ganesh, who has been vocal from the beginning, no other person put up a tweet publicly praising Revanth Reddy or the Congress party.
Although the film celebrities advocate that they don’t run into political issues, an appreciation is certainly expected from them. Had BRS come to power for the third time, the X would have been filled with congratulatory messages by all the top stars by now.
Going forward, we must see how the Congress government will extend its support to the Telugu Cinema.
