Earlier, when some big liquor brands approached the icon star Allu Arjun for a brand endorsement, the actor refused to sign them and do any kind of surrogate advertising for these companies. At a time when many male and female superstars are busy doing pan, tobacco and liquor ads, surely the mega hero tried to set a predicament by staying true to the ethics he follows.
The latest update is that a popular liquor brand and pan brand has approached the makers of Pushpa 2 offering a tempting in-film-branding deal. Whenever the hero is drinking, smoking, or chewing, he has to make sure that he uses the same brand, and that the brand name is visible in a couple of scenes. Reports are coming out that the brands have offered nearly ₹10 crores for this branding, but Allu Arjun is said to have rejected it.
The icon star is said to have convinced them not to sign any such deals as promoting those brands is against his ethics and also influences the audiences in a wrong way. He might smoke or drink on the screen, but won’t encourage to do them in reality and using particular brands might actually provoke the audience to use them. Good call Allu Arjun!
