The recently released Kannada film “Katera,” featuring the dynamic pair of Darshan and Aradhana Ram and directed by Tarun Sudhir, is making waves at the box office. Despite being a medium-budget film, it has achieved remarkable success, accumulating over Rs. 77 crores within four days of its release.
The movie premiered in theaters on December 29, garnering Rs. 19.79 crore on the first day and Rs. 17.35 crore on the second day. The momentum continued with a collection of Rs. 20.94 crore on the third day, reaching over Rs. 58 crore in three days worldwide. Even on New Year’s Day, the film added Rs. 18.26 crores to its impressive collection.
Remarkably, the film sustained its strong performance even after the weekend, with no decline in collections on Monday. Notably, Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu played a pivotal role in this successful venture.
Despite its success, it’s worth noting that “Katera” was released exclusively in the Kannada language. We have to see if there will be anyone coming forward to dub it to Telugu.
