Sithara offered a two-film deal?

It is a known practice in the film industry for a production house to ink a multi-film deal with a director who debuted in the banner. There have been many such instances in the past, and now, director Kalyan Shankar, who delivered a rocking debut with MAD, will do two films on Sithara Entertainment.

Even before debuting as a director, Kalyan Shankar impressed the audiences as a writer of Jathi Rathnalu. The director even shined in a special role of MAD, apart from helming the megaphone for the project. After the film’s release, it was praised for its humorous content and the execution from Kalyan.

We have learned that Sithara offered a two-film deal with the director, one of which will feature an established actor. Already, Kalyan is committed to carving the sequel of MAD, tentatively titled MAD 2, which is in the works.

Apart from MAD 2, Sharwanand might reportedly star in a Kalyan directorial. This will kick off only after the completion of MAD 2. The tentative plan is to begin the shoot of MAD 2 by the end of March or at the beginning of April.
