A bunch of Telugu films have gone to the OTTs for release. But none of these films could make it big or were of big budget. And now, another film is all set to release on the digital platform.
Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Bathuke So Better has been sold to Zee PLex and this is known. Unlike the other deals, which we are popular with, this film is going to release with ‘pay per view’ concept.
The film is directed by debutant Subbu and Nabha Natesh is playing the leading lady of the film while BVSN Prasad has produced it.
Unlike the other OTT platforms, which are offering free views to its subscribers already, Zee Plex is all about pay per view.
Recently, something similar has happened with Bollywood’s Khaali Peeli, which released on an OTT. Viewers were asked to pay Rs 199 and Rs 299 as per the choice.
The same way will be followed to Solo Bathuke also. Soon, the official announcement, and the date of the releases would be revealed.
At the same time, many are curious to know how much would they charge for this film. At times when the theatres are all set to open, a film releasing on OTT could not make much money, until and unless people really want to watch it.
