First Copy Of ‘Citadel’ Excites Samantha!

The shooting for the Indian version of the Citadel web series, a spin-off of the Hollywood series starring Priyanka Chopra and Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden, began a long time ago. Directed by Raj & DK and featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has earlier acted in the director duo’s “The Family Man 2”, along with Varun Dhawan, the project has generated heightened anticipation among movie enthusiasts. 

At a time when fans are awaiting the release date of this highly anticipated series, Samantha has now fueled curiosity by sharing some pictures of her gang including Varun, Raj & DK, with the caption, “Finally, we got to watch something…And we are like.” It looks like, after an extensive 22 months of dedicated work, Samantha finally laid eyes on the first copy of ‘Citadel.’ Having recently completed her dubbing, the top siren shared images capturing the team’s joy as they watched on a laptop. 

While the Hollywood version of “Citadel” didn’t gain as much recognition as expected, can the Indian rendition achieve a breakthrough? With Prime Video confirming the renewal of the Hollywood version of Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra, a burning question arises— will there be a Season 2 for Samantha’s Indian rendition of ‘Citadel’?
