Following the tremendous success of Avatar: Way of the Water in 2022, James Cameron is working on Avatar 3, which is slated for release in 2025. He already confirmed Avatar 4 and Avatar 5. Cameron recently attended the 51st Saturn Awards event and opened up on the critically acclaimed global hit RRR.
Cameron was asked to share his views on meeting SS Rajamouli last year and praising him for his exceptional work on RRR. “I was being honest with him at that time. I thought it was a spectacular work, and it was great to see Indian cinema bursting out onto the world stage,” said James Cameron.
During the same interview, Cameron discussed his plans for the Avatar sequels, aiming to develop the series into a franchise akin to Star Wars or Star Trek. He stated, “We’re fully written through movie five, and I’ve got ideas for six and seven, although I’ll probably be handing the baton on at that point.”
On the other hand, SS Rajamouli is currently busy with the works of SSMB29, starring Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
