Buzz: Rakul As Soorpanaka?

Nitesh Tiwari is one of the finest filmmakers in the country. He is currently busy working on the interesting project ‘Ramayana.’ The film’s pre-production work is currently in progress, and the makers are also occupied with finalizing the film’s key cast. We hear that Rakul Preet Singh might also join the cast.

As of now, the official details on the film’s cast did not come out. But Ranbir Kapoor is more or less confirmed to play Lord Sriram. Sai Pallavi is planning to come on board, but she has yet to consent to play Sita’s character.

Sunny Deol has consented to play Lord Hanuman, while Lara Datta is on board to play Kaikayi. Yash is in talks to play Ravana, but he is currently busy with Toxic and has yet to give his consent for the project. Vijay Sethupathi is in talks for Vibheeshana’s character.

Rakul Preet Singh is in talks to play the role of Soorpanaka. It is a very important character in Ramayana, and most of the filmmakers who made Ramayana in the past showcased her in a negative light. But, Nitesh wants to add a different perspective to her character and elevate how beautiful she is.

Rakul may come on board to play the character but the discussions are still underway. The team will officially announce the details of the cast and crew in a press meet.
